Golden Wheel Driving School — DSL#00008

Golden Wheel Driving School ("we," "us," "our," or "the School") is located at 75 Broadway, Elmwood Park, NJ 07407.
We serve Bergen and Passaic Counties, New Jersey, and provide free pick-up and drop-off for eligible services (such as behind-the-wheel driving lessons and certain road test services) within our service area, subject to approval from the owner or office. Not all services include pick-up and drop-off. Some road test services do not include pick-up or drop-off depending on the specific package purchased.
We also provide services outside Bergen and Passaic Counties; however, students from outside our service area must travel to our Elmwood Park location, as we do not provide pick-up or drop-off outside our designated service area.
By booking, purchasing, scheduling, or participating in any lesson, package, road test service, or other service offered by Golden Wheel Driving School, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. SERVICES OFFERED
We provide professional driving instruction services, including:
- Teen 6-Hour Permit Course
- Behind-the-Wheel Driving Lessons
- 6-Hour, 8-Hour, and 10-Hour Lesson Packages
- Road Test Preparation and Road Test Services
- Permit Assistance and Related Driving Education Services
All instruction is conducted by state-licensed instructors in accordance with New Jersey regulations.
2. BOOKING AND SCHEDULING
Appointments may be booked online, by telephone, or in person. Students must provide accurate contact information and availability.
Lessons, road tests, and other services are subject to instructor, vehicle, and scheduling availability. Golden Wheel Driving School reserves the right to decline or cancel appointments when necessary for safety, operational, or scheduling reasons.
3. PAYMENTS
Full payment or any required deposit must be paid at the time of booking unless otherwise approved by the School. Accepted payment methods include cash and credit/debit cards. A 3.5% processing fee applies to all credit card transactions. Personal checks are not accepted.
All prices are in U.S. Dollars (USD). Applicable taxes and fees, if any, will be disclosed at the time of purchase.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Students agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes for services that have already been provided. Any disputed charges may result in suspension of future services until the matter is resolved.
Golden Wheel Driving School reserves the right to provide lesson records, attendance records, signed documents, scheduling records, payment records, and communication records as evidence in any payment dispute or chargeback investigation.
4. LESSON AND PACKAGE VALIDITY
All lessons, packages, credits, and services purchased must be used within twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase. Any unused lessons, package hours, credits, or services remaining after twelve (12) months shall automatically expire and become non-refundable and non-transferable.
5. CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING, NO-SHOW, AND REFUND POLICY
To respect our instructors' time and other students' schedules, the following policy applies:
Cancellation or Rescheduling More Than 24 Hours Before Appointment
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled at least twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled appointment may be rescheduled without penalty and without loss of lesson time.
Late Cancellations
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled appointment will be considered forfeited and will count as a completed lesson or service. The lesson, package hour, or service will be deducted from the student's account and cannot be recovered.
No-Shows
Students who fail to appear for a scheduled lesson or service without notice will forfeit the entire lesson or service. The lesson or service will be considered completed and deducted from any package, prepaid balance, or scheduled service.
No refunds, credits, make-up lessons, or replacement appointments will be provided for late cancellations or no-shows. Students wishing to continue training must use another lesson from their package or purchase an additional lesson or service.
Golden Wheel Driving School reserves the right to make exceptions in cases of documented medical emergencies, family emergencies, or other extraordinary circumstances at its sole discretion.
Refund Policy
Full refunds are available only if no services have been provided and no portion of the purchased service has been used. Once any service has begun, including but not limited to permit processing, the 6-hour permit course, driving lessons, lesson packages, road test preparation, or road test services, no refunds will be issued.
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method and are generally processed within five (5) to seven (7) business days. Packages, lessons, services, and credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.
Repeated late cancellations, no-shows, or scheduling abuse may result in suspension or termination of booking privileges.
School-Initiated Rescheduling
Golden Wheel Driving School reserves the right to reschedule lessons, packages, road test services, or other appointments due to severe weather, unsafe road conditions, vehicle issues, instructor illness, MVC closures, scheduling conflicts, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, no cancellation fees will apply and students will be offered the next available appointment.
6. STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND CONDUCT
Students must arrive on time and possess all required documentation, including a valid learner's permit, permit validation, or driver's license when applicable. Students are responsible for maintaining valid permits, licenses, and required documentation. If a lesson, road test, or service cannot be completed because required documentation is missing, expired, suspended, invalid, or unavailable, standard cancellation and rescheduling policies may apply.
Free pick-up and drop-off is available only for eligible services and only within our approved service area, subject to scheduling and office approval. Transportation availability for road test services depends on the package purchased. Students outside the service area must travel to our Elmwood Park location.
After completion of a New Jersey MVC road test, Golden Wheel Driving School does not wait for students to obtain their picture license, temporary license, or related MVC documents. Students requiring transportation after MVC processing must make their own arrangements.
Road Test Results
Golden Wheel Driving School does not guarantee that any student will pass a road test. Road test outcomes are determined solely by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) examiner. No refunds will be issued due to a failed road test, examiner decision, missed test, or any MVC-related outcome beyond the School's control.
Students must follow all traffic laws and instructor directions. Failure to comply may result in immediate termination of the lesson or service without refund. Students may be held financially responsible for damage caused to School vehicles or property due to negligence, intentional misconduct, or failure to follow instructor directions.
Golden Wheel Driving School reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate service to any student who:
- Appears impaired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Behaves in a threatening, abusive, or inappropriate manner
- Creates unsafe conditions
- Refuses to follow instructor directions
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Driving involves inherent risks. By participating in lessons or services provided by Golden Wheel Driving School, students acknowledge and accept those risks.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Golden Wheel Driving School shall not be liable for any personal injury, property damage, financial loss, missed appointments, failed tests, indirect damages, incidental damages, or consequential damages except where caused by the School's gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Golden Wheel Driving School is not responsible for delays, cancellations, MVC scheduling changes, weather conditions, traffic conditions, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, instructor emergencies, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
8. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
9. CHANGES TO TERMS
Golden Wheel Driving School reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the student and Golden Wheel Driving School regarding the services provided and supersede any prior verbal or written representations, discussions, understandings, or agreements relating to such services.
