NJ GDL Supervised Driving Requirements
- You must complete 50 hours of supervised driving practice, including 10 hours at night.
- A parent, guardian, or other licensed adult (21+) with at least 3 years of experience must supervise all practice sessions.
- Night hours count between one-half hour after sunset and one-half hour before sunrise.
- Hours must be logged in the NJ MVC Supervised Driving Log (GDL-SCL) form.
- After completing all hours, you can schedule your behind-the-wheel road test at an MVC agency.
