    Once you've completed all 50 hours (10 at night), Golden Wheel can prepare you with a pre-road test refresher lesson and the use of our dual-controlled vehicle for the MVC exam.

    NJ GDL Supervised Driving Requirements

    • You must complete 50 hours of supervised driving practice, including 10 hours at night.
    • A parent, guardian, or other licensed adult (21+) with at least 3 years of experience must supervise all practice sessions.
    • Night hours count between one-half hour after sunset and one-half hour before sunrise.
    • Hours must be logged in the NJ MVC Supervised Driving Log (GDL-SCL) form.
    • After completing all hours, you can schedule your behind-the-wheel road test at an MVC agency.
