Terms and Conditions

Golden Wheel Driving School (“we,” “us,” or “the School”) is located at 75 Broadway, Elmwood Park, NJ 07407. We serve Bergen and Passaic Counties, New Jersey, and provide free pick-up and drop-off for eligible services (such as behind-the-wheel driving lessons and certain road test services) within our service area, subject to approval from the owner/office. Not all services include pick-up and drop-off. Some road test services do not include pick-up or drop-off depending on the specific package purchased. We also provide services outside these counties; however, students from outside Bergen and Passaic Counties must come to our location in Elmwood Park, as we do not offer pick-up or drop-off outside our service area. By booking any lesson, package, or service with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Services Offered
We provide professional driving instruction services, including:
Teen 6-Hour Permit Course
Behind-the-wheel driving lessons
8-hour and 10-hour lesson packages
Road test preparation and road test services
All instruction is conducted by state-licensed instructors in accordance with New Jersey regulations.
2. Booking and Scheduling
Appointments must be booked through our website, by phone, or in person.
Accurate contact information and availability must be provided.
Lessons are subject to instructor and vehicle availability.
3. Payments
Full payment or the required deposit is due at the time of booking.
Accepted payment methods: cash and credit/debit cards. A surcharge fee applies to all credit card transactions. We do not accept personal checks.
All prices are in USD and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
4. Lesson/Package Validity Period
All purchased lessons and packages must be used within 12 months from the date of purchase. Any unused lessons or portions of a package after 12 months will automatically expire and are non-refundable and non-transferable.
5. Cancellation, Rescheduling, No-Show & Refund Policy
To respect our instructors’ time and other students’ schedules, the following policy applies:
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made 24 hours or more before the scheduled appointment: No fee. You may reschedule at no charge or request a refund (subject to the refund rules below).
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the appointment: You must pay 50% of the lesson or package fee before any rescheduling is permitted.
No-shows (failure to appear without notice): Treated the same as late cancellations — 50% of the scheduled fee must be paid before any future appointments can be booked.
Refund Policy:
Full refunds are available only if no services have started (no permit course initiated, no driving lessons taken, and no road test preparation or services used). Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Once any part of the process has started (including but not limited to the 6-hour permit course, any driving lesson, or road test services), no refunds will be issued.
Eligible refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
Packages are non-transferable.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in suspension of your booking privileges.
6. Student Responsibilities and Conduct
You must arrive on time with a valid learner’s permit (if required) and be prepared for the lesson.
Free pick-up and drop-off is offered only for eligible services (primarily behind-the-wheel lessons and certain road test services) within our service area (Bergen and Passaic Counties), subject to scheduling and approval from the owner/office. Pick-up and drop-off for road test services depends on the specific package purchased — some road test services do not include transportation.
For services that do not include transportation or for students outside the service area, you must arrive at our location in Elmwood Park.
After completing a road test at the New Jersey MVC, we do not wait for the student to obtain their picture license (or temporary license). If you wish to wait for your license to be issued, you must arrange your own transportation home.
You must follow all traffic laws and instructor directions. Failure to do so may result in immediate termination of the lesson without refund.
Any damage to the training vehicle caused by student negligence may result in additional charges.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any student who is under the influence, behaves inappropriately, or poses a safety risk.
7. Limitation of Liability
Driving involves inherent risks. By participating, you assume all risks associated with the lessons. The School is not liable for any personal injury, vehicle damage, or other losses except those caused by our gross negligence. We are not responsible for delays or cancellations due to weather, traffic, or events beyond our control.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
